Trump & Biden Supporters, This One Is For You
If you let me interview you for a Medium comparison piece, after the election results, I’ll Venmo you $50 each.
To be really honest, I am actively rooting against your preferred outcomes. But anybody who has taken the time to read my posting history should be able to tell that.
The Context
I’m not really sure if this will be the “most important election of my lifetime.” In the midst of a pandemic and protests, in a divided and rapidly breaking down country, I’d say the 2016 has earned that spot. And unless something goes horribly wrong, I’d like it to keep in first place.
I am hoping that this country can recover and that this blip of an article won’t age too badly after stating so.
After the election results, I’m interested in hearing what people on both sides of the race think for a comparison piece. Obviously, one side is bound to be a bit more unhappy than the other but that’s to be expected at the end of every presidential race.
The Ask?
My ask is that if you have a history of supporting Trump/Biden and would be willing to speak with me about the results of the election, and your subsequent thoughts, please privately or publicly leave a comment so I can contact you.
The two people on either side to do so who doesn’t seem completely suspect, I’ll contact!
I’d like to speak via phone but would be just as happy to do so on social media, email, or another preferred medium (no pun intended).
My Hope?
There’s no way that the opinions of two people can be expanded across a country of 382 + million of them. And it’s very possible that, even if I do get respondents, their opinions might be more amplified or mild than the average Trump/Biden supporter. Still, I think the resulting comparison would make for an interesting think piece, with caveats applied.
