Thank you for this nuanced reply. I can definitely understand not having any empathy left for someone, especially when their actions can result in something that would be very dangerous for all of our well-beings. I do think that he needs some sort of in-person treatment and help but that is really hard to get for an adult without family really stepping in; it doesn't seem like his are willing to. To me it's a really tragic situation that can quickly become a dangerous one, for a multitude of reasons, including all of the ones you mention.
